The first municipality in Serra Gaúcha to host the 2023 edition of the CPERS educational exhibition was Caxias do Sul (1st center), which presented almost 30 works from different regions to school and trade unions, this Tuesday (17).
EEEM Evaristo de Antoni hosted the activity, which brought together projects carried out by students from primary, secondary and technical schools, who developed initiatives focused on sustainability, health and psychology.
1st Vice President of CPERS, Alex Saratt, emphasized the goals of the educational exhibition, which in its fifth edition continues to strengthen the activities of teachers and students. «May we have one more moment of rich coexistence and exchange here, so that the public school is strengthened and we can address the challenges of working conditions, wages and teaching and learning,» he pointed out.
«The important thing here is that we are developing research, projects and teamwork, which opens many doors for your future,» said the association’s 2nd vice president, Edson Garcia.
Environmental awareness from childhood
The projects presented in the gymnasium of the Evaristo de Antoni school, located in the São José neighborhood of Caxias do Sul, proposed several creative methods of reusing materials.
This is the case for the Horta Sustentável project, by EEEM São Caetano, which solves the lack of space in apartments for those who want to plant, recycle pet bottles and pipes. It was the student, Júlia Soriano, who presented the initiative at the exhibition.
Professor Raquel Zaccaria, supervisor of the works «Cultivar Lixobô» and «Combating Dengue», presented at EEEM Santana, explained the theme of the works.
«This year, in particular, we want to show sustainability with the Cultivar Lixobô project and raise awareness of social issues as well, because of the dengue mosquito, which has spread widely in the region,» he explained. The institution where Raquel teaches is a school in Campo, inside Antônio Prado.
Students from the Initial Series of Elementary School at EEEM São Caetano, Pablo Lafuente and Pierre Martins, presented the work «Reuse and reuse of recyclable materials in the construction of objects and toys», demonstrating that it is enough to be creative so that care for the environment must to get used to
«Instead of throwing away a bag or bottle, recycle them.» I made my toy with six washcloths, hats and steel,” explained Pierre.
Take care of your sanity and respect what is unique
The importance of small things was the subject of the project «Small things matter!», by EEEM João Triches. The activity won the Darcy Ribeiro Award from the City Council of Caxias do Sul.
«The project is based on the life of an artist who is black, with autism and dyslexia, and who developed a technique to create micro-sculptures on the tips of pins and needles. Based on this, the students reflected on respect, empathy and appreciating small things,» said the teacher who organized the activity, Silvia Gubert.
In order to make people aware of the various risks that porn can bring in the long term, students from EET Caxias do Sul prepared a powerful survey in light of how many women and men consume this type of material.
«People usually see porn as a common pastime in their lives and they don’t even know how bad it can be for their mental health,» says student Gyovanna Adelungue. Among the problems identified by the student body, the assertion of gender-based violence and the culture of child abuse stand out.
The challenge to select the projects that will go to the state level of the 5th CPERS Pedagogy Exhibition was held by the teachers Eva Vargas Rocha, Maria Aparecida Berriel, Rafael Nunes, Alzira Silva, Ana Luiza Ennes, Thaís dos Santos Leite and Laura de Oliveira.
